I have discovered this tool at http://www.autoitscript.com/gimagex/ . It seems to be a quite comprehensive utility program for those who don’t like CLI, which is many times more flexible way to manipulate *.wim images, though. Anyway, this tool may suits for many scenarious and it is a definitely quicker solution.
Below, there is an abstract given by the auther of GImageX, Mr Jonathan Bennett for his creation:
"GImageX is a graphical user interface for the ImageX tool from the Windows Automated Installation Kit v1.1 (WAIK) (or OEM Pre-Installation Kit (OPK) v.1.1. — my remark). ImageX is used to capture and apply WIM images for Windows XP and Windows Vista desktop deployments.
The
ImageX GUI is a native application for the x86 and x64 platforms that
will also work in Windows PE (WinPE). There is also a COM component
version included that implements some of the basic functionality for
direct use in languages such as VBScript."
